THE COMPETITION:

  DESIGN (PART 1):
________________________________________________

  • Five (5) designs will be chosen by jury to be built.
  • Prizes: awarded to the winning built design (see Part 2).
  • Early registration ($25) by April 30th
  • Main registration: ($50)
  • Registration closed: June 1, 2012
  • Submissions due: July 9, 2012
  • Finalists announced: July 16, 2012

  BUILD (PART 2):
________________________________________________

  • Finalists will receive a minimum of $1000 each to build their design.

  • Prizes:
    • First place prize: $2,000
    • Second place prize: $500
    • Winners will be publicized

  • Each of the chosen finalists will be teamed up with volunteer craftsmen to help realize their design. Volunteer now to be a part of a build team!
  • The finalists from the Design Competition will be required to erect their Sukkah on September 23, 2012
  • The Build Event will take place at the Liberty Plaza Park in Ann Arbor, Michigan for one day.

  • Sukkah's will be moved to the Jewish Community Center of Greater Ann Arbor where they will be on display for the week of Sukkot from September 29-October 9, 2012
